Ministry of Truth

Heard two teaser headlines at the top of the hour on NPR this morning:

According to the Pentagon, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed confessed to responsibility for 9/11 "from A to Z."

And Iraq is officially in a civil war.

Translation: 9/11 was not an inside job ("from A to Z" leaves no room for help from Mossad, CIA, or ISI, does it?), and a country we liberated has regrettably fallen into civil war.

We have always been at war with Iran.

Comments:
According to the Pentagon. . .

Now that's the imprimatur. That right there screams "credibility!", in the same voice one might hear coming from the darker cells at Guantanamo.

Yes. I'm going for the economical lately. Ministry of Truth says it all, really.

You've been on fire over at UFOB lately, Scruggster.

Writing about it sometimes helps me not to think about it, if that makes any sense. It's my version of retreating into a fantasy of normalcy.

.. and you always will be at war with Iran.

The fundamental mindsets will never ever change.

How very depressing. No wonder Joe Bageant left to live in a shack in Belize. Life is too short, really.

yes, who did I see quoted the other day, some asshole with power saying if you can't eat it, wear it or sleep under it, it ain't worth anything. He didn't say, "or kill it" but that's implied.

KSM: "The Spy Who Came In From Guantanomo, or: How I Killed Spongebob."
