Rachel Maddow digs into Bushco war crimes

"It is just as bad to prevent the investigation and prosecution of a war crime as its commission." -- Jonathan Turley, professor of law at George Washington University Law School, on the Rachel Maddow show.

"If a truth commission investigates, it would be the shortest investigation in history. There's no question there's a war crime," says Turley.

"The easiest thing to do is to get out of the way...To say maybe your guilty, maybe not, but it's not for me to decide it's for a special prosecutor."

How can Obama defend his lack of action?

Comments:
Out of all of Obama's missteps, this one is the most egregious.

Methinks he fears ending up like JFK.

What a wuss.

or worse, doesn't have a problem with them.

He's "damned if you do and damned if you don't." I'm tempted to say that domestic political realities are such that he's less damned if he doesn't, but, as the Maddow discussion hints, there are actually enormous gains to be made both internationally, and I think domestically as well. (leaving aside of course that its the right thing to do)

Brother Tim - you wouldn't be a Dragon Con kinda person, would ya?

Bruce, let me know if you can access http://armyofstrawmen.blogspot.com/. I thought I had it set not to be viewed by the public yet, but I'm unsure of the current status.

Oh, should have checked. Different Brother Tim.
